GARY, PROFOUNDLY IRRELEVANT

The Profound Irrelevance art movement's quintessential example celebrated

its 10-year anniversary in 2004, as the Ten Year Gary Retrospective - TYGR.

This Eyes of the TYGR exhibit began with an opening reception on Februgary 14, 2004,

that was quite the gala event, and stayed for about a month

at the Planet Rooth gallery in North Park, San Diego.

On Saturday, March 6th, 2004, there was a closing reception for the show.

There are many many Eyes of this TYGR and this exhibit recognized many of those eyes' perspectives on life, liberty and the pursuit of Gary blah-blah randomness.

Amazing it is, that so many people have participated in one single ongoing 12-year art project that is primarily rooted in the blatherskite essence of everything skimble-skamble - - profoundly irrelevant indeed.

It is through the mass collective pursuit of such trumpery that a common and poignant statement is made with the various components that make up everyday life.

In the years since TYGR, Gary has traveled and

photographed in Barcelona, Yucatan/Mexico, Nicaragua,

Croatia, Argentina and Finland!!!

And that's just what's been reported on.

Who knows where else he's been?!

Just as the Japanese Ukiyo-e art movement reveled in the simple pleasures of nature, emotion and human whims, so does Gary and the Profound Irrelevance art movement, celebrating aspects of life that are encountered throughout one's life.

As always, everybody's Gary perspective is encouraged, and

all should be sure to continue creating and showingtheir Garyphanelia,

so everyone can see things through everyone's Eyes of the TYGR.
